Mixed Match Report for Copt Heath Vs Willesley Park 4th June 2023

The club’s second fixture saw Copt Heath travel to Willesley Park Golf Club on a fine June afternoon.

Unfortunately, the club could only manage 5 pairs and for one of those pairs, we had to borrow Rebecca to partner Rob Russell. Rebecca became an Honorary Copt Heath member for the day!

The overall result was a 3 – 2 defeat. There was a win for the Kentish’s and Sue Pease and John Lange gained a half. It was John’s first mixed match and he may have got the “bug” now. Watch this space!

Our final half point came from Rob Russell and Rebecca in the final match of the day. Perhaps a diplomatic half was well deserved.

Moving on, we have a match against Edgbaston Golf Club on the day of our Mixed Open. As I have put the word out on many occasions for members to take part, I will select these players first.

Finally, I liked the club so much that I went back to collect some golf shoes. The female member of these shoes will remain anonymous to save her blushes!
