Summer Serenade & BBQ

It is common when planning a barbecue in England to worry about the Weather, but also a very British response is to carry on regardless, which is exactly what happened on Friday.

The weather did indeed try to scupper all plans that had been made, but a quick switch to move the party upstairs was put into motion.

It was clear the rain failed to dampen any spirits with over 120 members, friends and family all enjoying an evening with good food, good music and a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere.

Many people grabbed the unique opportunity to attend an event with a relaxed dress code which was certainly well received by those present. Following this event the dress code reverts back to previous arrangements.

We are very pleased how this event went and hope that everyone enjoyed themselves. A special thanks to Cheryl Buck and the Social Committee for all their efforts in arranging this event.

A number of events are in the pipeline for the future with the next one planned in connection to the Ryder Cup on the 30th Sept. The outline plans for this are a golf match (Europe v USA) followed by an Italian buffet meal – more information coming very soon!
